Flächensensor ZoomThe Fraunhofer IMS developed and characterised a new pixel structure (LDPD) in order to achieve a high read-out speed and better sensor sensibility. The new Lateral Drift-Field Photodectors (LDPD) open a lot of new 3D Time-of-Flight Applications. The new technology is beiing used by TriDiCam for the new surface area sensor. The first area sensor with a resolution of 128 X 96 pixel become available in the 1st quarter of 2011.
